What McDonald’s has confirmed about the 2026 Boo Buckets
There are five designs to collect: Jafar from “Aladdin,” Ursula from “The Little Mermaid,” Scar from “The Lion King,” Cruella de Vil from “101 Dalmatians,” and Maleficent from “Sleeping Beauty” and “Maleficent.” According to Good Morning America, each bucket comes in place of the kids’ Happy Meal box and includes a villain-inspired lid and stickers.
The buckets are available for a limited time at participating restaurants starting Tuesday, Oct. 20. The tradition dates back to 1986, and last year’s buckets used traditional Halloween images such as a ghost face, a cat, and a zombie, as FOX 13 reported. What is in the Happy Meal inside the bucket
McDonald’s US page for the 4 Piece Chicken McNuggets Happy Meal lists 395 calories with four McNuggets, kids’ fries, a 1% low fat milk carton, and apple slices. The nutrition summary shows 19 g of protein, 40 g of carbohydrates, 17 g of total fat, 3.5 g of saturated fat, 1 g of fiber, and 510 mg of sodium, which McDonald’s lists as 22% of the Daily Value.
Total sugars are 14 g and added sugars are listed as 0 g. Since the added sugar line is zero, that 14 g comes from ingredients such as the milk and the apples rather than from added sweetener. McDonald’s notes that the Happy Meal has a toy included, and a bucket now stands in for the box.
The drink changes the numbers
The 395 calories assume the 1% milk. McDonald’s also lists reduced sugar low fat chocolate milk, DASANI water, and Honest Kids Appley Ever After Organic Juice Drink as drink choices. I could not confirm calories for each swap, so use the nutrition calculator in the McDonald’s app if you want exact figures for the drink your child picks.
